    Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

    Who would of thought these seemingly simple ideas would have such a profound affect on an entire country and the world. The USA is a country where these are ideas are held to the highest standard.

    Life, looking back in history and still today some people’s lives are not equal. Not long ago a whole group of people were killed based off their beliefs, the Holocausts. And even today countries have slave labor. America is a melting pot of all people and all people are welcome.

    Liberty, I see Liberty as freedom. People have the choice to believe what they want. They have the choice to pursue any career they want to. The government or any other power is not forcing you to believe something, say something or be someone you do not want to be.

    The pursuit of happiness is the best idea because it means that everyones uniqueness can stand out. No matter what it is that makes you happy this country gives you the opportunity to make your dream become a reality. The biggest challenge you face is yourself not a government.

    What does America mean to you?

    To me this is the land of the free and home of the brave. The culture is a melting pot of everyone around the world. We’re united by being Americans and the set of values that “…all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.“

    No other place in the world is as accepting and free as we are today. On this beautiful day we celebrate and remember all the men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we have. We are one nation under god, we are indivisible and we liberty and justice for all.

    Tomorrow is a day of celebration. Tomorrow is a day to remember the rallying cry for the origin of our county, “That all men are created equal”. We live in the most diverse place in the world with people from all over coming together. It started as a dream, an experiment, that turned into a giant success. We live in a country where the ghosts of hero’s are always looking down on us and giving us wisdom. From people like George Washington who set a precedent of a peaceful transition of power. To the dream of Martin Luther King where people are judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin. Tomorrow is a day to remember these ideals and see the progress that we’ve made as a country.

    No matter where you are or how good at something you are eventually there is going to be a point where you crash back down to reality. Even when everything is going your way there is a point where it won’t. During the crash we come face to face with our own mortality. The possibility of the end comes to mind and we think it might all be over. All doubts and fears come to the surface. Is my touch gone? Does this make me happy anymore? Pain begins to set in and that is all we can think about. Eventually you must make a choice. A choice to begin again or to quit.

Progress is one thing that makes me happy. Progress lets me know I am doing some things right. Even the smallest amount of progress can lead to huge amount of happiness. The only way to measure progress is to measure yourself. Have points of measurement to keep up with. One of the most common is money. How much are you making and saving? Another one specifically for a blogger is how often you are posting? How much traffic is your website getting? There are many ways to measure but the most important is what makes you the happiest.

    The journey always starts with a hero. They are not a hero at the start but just an ordinary person in ordinary situations doing ordinary things. The hero is living an ordinary life when a call to adventure happens. It is usually something tragic that happens and the hero has a choice to make. Go on this adventure of self discovery and save their ordinary life. The hero chooses to go on this journey where they are faced with many adversities and challenges. The hero overcomes all of them except one. They are struck down on their pursuit to overcome. To overcome this last obstacle the hero must face their darkest challenges. They must do everything they don’t want to do. Only then does the hero conquer the final beast. When the challenges are over the hero is a new person when they go home to their ordinary life.
