    Do not get bogged down in the what. It is uninspiring and will not bring you joy. There will be no context or passion. You will go through your day accomplishing tasks just to call them complete. You will not go the extra mile and will not continue to learn and grow.

    Making massive breakthroughs and innovations starts with why. Your mindset will change. Your goal is bigger than the means. You may find a completely new and better way to do things.

    You will be driven by purpose and people will be able to connect with you on a much higher level. They will be able to identify you because they know what you stand for. They know why you are doing what you are doing and will want to be apart of it.

    People will prefer things with imperfections if they know where they come from. If you buy a birthday card it will come with a beautiful message in it. If you buy a blank card and write your own message it may not be as well written but it will be more beautiful because it came from you.

    If you do things the right way and do not cut corners the reward will be greater. You will have peace and comfort that you did things right.

    Really engage with people because you never know what might happen. There is no better time that the present to have a good time and show people that you really care about them. You also never really know what someone else is going through so if you can brighten their day for a moment then you could have a drastic impact on their life.

    Showing people that you care about them and give them unconditional love never runs out of style. Sometime you can’t do everything or they are not willing to break down their barriers but that should not stop you from being you and being a wonderful person.

    Be as grateful as you can be for anything that someone does for you. Show them how much it means to you that they have spent their time and effort doing something for you. Compliment them on everything they are good at and try to return the favor.

    Sharing what you know will increase the perspective of the person you are sharing with. You are saying something and then listening to the feedback. You are giving them your take on a topic that they may or may not know. In return you gain their knowledge and their perspective. The more perspective you can gain the better off you’ll be and the better decisions you can make. Do not fall into the trap of sticking to what you know. Stick to what you know and explore the opposite. Gain more knowledge and do stuff that will make you grow.

    Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

    Be the best you that you can be today and figure out a way to be better tomorrow.

    A leader is like a gardener. A leader prepares the soil so that it is in perfect condition for plants to grow. A leader plants the seeds that will turn into trees and provide shade in the hot sunlight. A leader will tend to the plants everyday. A leader will give the plants the perfect amount of water. A leader can and must do everything that they control to help the plants grow as much as possible. The plants grow on their own but they need the proper conditions to do so. If you want the most beautiful plants and the best garden then you have to the best gardener that you can be. A leader protects the plants from storms coming. A leader creates an environment for growth.

    To be a great leader you must show great empathy. You must be willing to get in the trenches and do the dirty work just like everyone you are leading. You must have a great understanding of everyone’s point of view. To be able to speak intelligibly on other’s perspective you must be able to put yourself in their shoes.

    You do not know what your talking about until you can understand and argue the opposite point of view.

    You must be able to speak their language. You must be able to understand where they are coming from.

    If you want to do anything great then you can’t do it alone. You will need a team of great people around you. These are the people you are working for. They are not working for you. You are working for them.

    It is always a two way communication flow. You are not delegating and giving order. You are listening and providing feedback.

    You must be willing to do anything and everything that you are asking other people to do. Leadership is by example. If you want people to work hard then you must work twice as hard. Effort and quality are contagious so you must build the environment in which these grow. You are creating a culture with your energy, your vocabulary, metaphors, stories, people, actions, attire, food and growth.

    Lead with confidence and certainty so you can give it to everyone else. Empower people to be better than they are and push them out of their comfort zone. Always moving forward.
