One of the hardest things to do for me is to sit in silence. As soon as it gets silent I am looking for the easiest distraction. My distraction of choice lately has been my phone. Growing up it used to be video games, cartoons and playing sports. Maybe this is why I was never a fan of school because we were told to sit there and be quiet. I needed something to keep be engaged and learning about proper grammar was not it. That is why it is ironic that I find myself a blogger. When it comes to writing the blogs I look for distractions to get me out of it. I come up with excuses why I shouldn’t do it. I am not good enough. What if someone judges me. There are endless reasons why I shouldn’t do it but only one reason why I should. I want to.

noiz viol8ion blog #367 – Stop Learning and Start Doing
There is an emphasis on passive learning in this country. The school system is designed for you to sit in a chair and listen to the teacher. If you get out of your chair, if you speak out, if you do not do what they say then you are disruptive. The system is designed to memorize and learn facts. We are learning facts to take a test but the only time I take tests is in school. Once the test is over you forget everything and learn stuff for the next test. This system is messed up and we think this is the best way to learn. We learn by doing. We learn by getting our hands dirty. We learn by making mistakes. Stop trying to learn how to do something and start doing something while learning.

Blog #52 – The You You Are Becoming
The only person that matter is the person you are becoming. Your actions and your habits are creating your future self. If you eat donuts everyday you are becoming fatter. If you are running everyday you are becoming a better runner.
What do you want to be when you grow up? Who do you want to be?
Do not let other people define who you are. Going through school and being around a lot of people they want to put labels on you for who you are. Schools limit your creativity because you have to fit into their mold of who a smart, normal student is. If you’re not good at those things then you are cast out of the system and labeled a failure.
It doesn’t matter what anyone else labels you. It only matters how you see yourself.
