  • Blog #57 – How much you know means nothing. This is what really matters to influence people.

Show them how much you care.

When someone does something for you, let them know how much it means to you. Show them you are grateful and their deed did not go unnoticed.

Good behavior must be rewarded if you want it to continue. Do not expect things out of people but appreciate it when someone does something for you.

  • Blog #56 – Family Bonds

I know I am blessed to have a great family. They love and support me unconditionally. It is important to recognize this and also show them the same love and support.

  • Blog #55 – Follow Your Passion

Everyone says this and I know why. Because it is easy to say.

Follow your passion and you will never work a day in your life.

This is easier said than done. Because by following you passion you have to work harder than everyone else. The world is competitive and more than likely there are tons of people with the same passion as you. If this passion is replacing your job then you have to be better than everyone else. Not to say that everything is a competition but business is.

Your passion must be unique to you. What makes you different from everyone else?

  • Blog #54 – How to Change it Up

Too much of anything is not good for you. Not enough of something is bad for you.

We are all creatures of habit. We do the things that we do and stick to it. We wake up and goto work at the same time. We take the same route to work. We do the same things at work and get off at the same time. We come home the same way and watch the same shows. We will eat the same thing at the same restaurants.

When we do this it saves us from having to think. We made a decision previously for what the best thing to do is. Very Rarely do we go back and question these decisions unless we are forced to.

Staying in the same patterns will always get you the same results. If you are perfectly content then keep doing what you are doing. If you are not then it is time to change it up. Start small by changing your alarm clock by a minute or two. Change what side of you mouth you start brushing your teeth.

  • Blog #53 – The Edge of Competence

Growth happens when you are over your head. The moment when you have no other choice but to step up. The pressure is on. The lights are shining in your face. There is no safety net.

More than likely you are going to fail and that is why this zone is beyond our comfort zone. We are taking a huge risk because we are doing something that we have never done before. It may feel like fear that is bubbling up within us but it is excitement, adrenaline and courage.

You are becoming a master of your craft. This is all part of the process. The progression to becoming a master is full of challenges and eventually you are the one who is responsible. These moments of expansion come to test you to see where you are at. If you fail then your moment will come again and you will have to be ready for it. And the moment will keep coming until you take advantage of it.

These are opportunities to shine. These are opportunities to show how far you have come. If you keep taking advantage of these moments then they will get easier and eventually you will be able to move mountains.

  • Blog #52 – The You You Are Becoming

The only person that matter is the person you are becoming. Your actions and your habits are creating your future self. If you eat donuts everyday you are becoming fatter. If you are running everyday you are becoming a better runner.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Who do you want to be?

Do not let other people define who you are. Going through school and being around a lot of people they want to put labels on you for who you are. Schools limit your creativity because you have to fit into their mold of who a smart, normal student is. If you’re not good at those things then you are cast out of the system and labeled a failure.

It doesn’t matter what anyone else labels you. It only matters how you see yourself.

  • Blog #51 – Let the Sun Shine Bright on You

When you want something all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.

    Paulo Coelho

We all want great things to happen to us. We all have dreams. We all have things we want.

We do not always get what we want but we always get what we need. Wanting something is not enough. There has to be a stronger need to get what you want.

Everything that you have is because you need it. You have shelter because you need a place to sleep. You have food, water and air because you need these to live. You have a job because you need money. You have relationships because you need love. You have a smart phone because you need to communicate. You have apps on your phone because they solve a need. Even games solve the need to not feel bored.

If want change or abundance in your life then you have to need it. You need a “why” that will give you the motivation to do whatever it takes.

Know that there is no need to great that can’t be met.

Great book to read. Turn ordinary into extraordinary.

  • Blog #50 – The FOMO is Real

I have a fear of missing out.

There are so many fun things going on at every moment. How do I justify what I should do?

Before you cave into the feeling of FOMO you should understand your opportunity cost. The number 1 priority is your time. Could you be doing something better with your time? This is the only thing you can’t get back.

What do you want to do with your time? Have fun, make money, build relationships, fix broken things, solve problems, party, socialize, make music, dance.

If you do go out then you miss the chance to stay in. If you stay in then you miss the chance to go out and have fun with your friends.

Whats most important to you in the long term?

There is a balance that can be achieved between going out for fun and staying in.

  • Blog #49 – Be your own hero

Look up to yourself and the person you have become over the years. Appreciate all the hard work you have put in to be where you are at. Look back and be amazed at the things you have done. Think about the times you followed through with what you said you would do. Remember the moments when life challenged you and you took the higher road. All of the times you helped someone out of a bad situation. Not because you wanted something but because that is the type of person that you are.

  • Blog #48 – Keep Raising the Bar

Do you keep any stats or metrics on things?

Do you have any personal best records?

    What is your net worth?

How many miles can you run?

    What is your perfect day?

The only way to grow and get more is to raise your standards for what is acceptable. Then take the necessary action to get those results.
