Quality makes everything easier.
Having to go back and fix something that was finished costs a huge amount of time.
Do it right the first time and it will make all the steps after that one easier.

Don’t worry about a thing,
‘Cause every little thing gonna be all right.
Bob Marley
Most of the things you worry about never end up happening. You are causing undue stress on your mind and wasting time that you could be doing something productive. Instead remember the “Serenity Prayer”, enjoy yourself, have fun and be free. Do not let worries and fears paralyze you from taking action. Take action and see what happens. Use this as feedback to change and adjust your approach. Do the best you can in every situation and be open to change. Everything does not have to go exactly as planned to be a success. It is often the things that are unplanned that are the best and most memorable. Go full steam ahead and do not overthink things. If things do not work then learn and move on.
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
Dr. SEuss
Reading will take you places you’ve never dreamed about. It can open your mind to new possibilities and take you on an escape from reality. Some people will study a topic for their entire life and then write a book about it. You can read that book and download their knowledge in a matter of minutes or hours. If you are struggling with anything then seek knowledge on the topic your struggling with. More than likely you are not the first person to struggle with this. Learn from other people’s lives who have been nice enough to write it down for you.
Do what makes you happy and keep doing it. Happiness is an art so if you find something that makes you happy then keep doing it. Do not put conditions on your happiness i.e. “If this happens…Then I will be happy.” Everyone is different and there are big and small things that can bring a smile to your face. If it can make your job or life more enjoyable then do it. Do not worry about other people’s judgement just worry about your own happiness.
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.
Bruce Lee
The more you repeat something the more confident you will be in the end result. The more you repeat something the more you will make it your own. Your personality will start to come out and eventually it will be uniquely yours. You will create versions that will only be linked to you. Your influences are uniquely your own and it will create your unique style. The hard part is to repeat and repeat and repeat the same process without giving up. It feels like it’s the same thing over and over again but if you compare two versions closely there are slight variations that make each unique. You will find out what you like and what you don’t like only through trail and error. Once you find ways you like you keep doing that and improve upon it. Keep grinding!
From the first moment you wake up and feel conscious there are thoughts that flood your head. There is also an infinite amount of thoughts that do not flood your mind.
How do you chose what thoughts to think and where do these thoughts come from?
These thoughts and ideas randomly come flowing to mind. They could be based off past experiences or current conditions. Wherever these thoughts come from doesn’t matter. They are just there. There is no conscious choice on what comes to mind. It just comes to mind.
With this in mind then are decisions are based off thoughts we do not have control over.
If we do not have control over our thoughts then we also have no control over our actions. We cannot act on something we don’t think of so we are locked in actions we do think of. Is this free will?
Do you like coffee or tea? Why do you prefer one over the other? Where does this preference comes from?
You are who you are. You like what you like. You have certain traits that make up your personality.
Most people don’t have it.
Assiduity is the skill of sitting on your ass until you solve the problem at hand.
Most people will get restless or bored with a difficult problem. Their mind will become distracted and they will focus on something else.
The art of sitting in silence with nothing but your mind and a blank canvas is intimidating. You may become discouraged, frustrated, stumped, or helpless. There will always be some form of resistance and you must face it down. You will never face it down unless it’s a problem worth solving.
You must sit with the discomfort and finish what you started.
How can you make something you do not want to do as fun as possible?
There are always things that do not sound like fun but must get done. Work can be tedious. Work can be monotonous. Work can be boring. Work can be lonely. Work can be stressful. Work can be all these negative things but it has to get done no matter what.
The best way to do these things is to ask, “How can I make this as fun as possible?”
Just asking the question will bring answers to your mind. Be open and try out one of the answers to see where it takes you.
The best way to get things done is to reward yourself for getting them done. Treat yourself for a job well done. Make the reward conditional on getting the job done. “If I do this then I will get that!” Make sure it is something you really want so the work is worth the reward. The reward can be as simple as a soda or as big a trip somewhere. The most common and easiest to follow would be to stay focused for a certain amount of time and then take a small break. For example if you are writing then challenge yourself to write for 10 min and then take a 5 min break.
