noiz viol8ion blog #652 – Three Sides to Every Situation

The three sides to every situation are your side, my side and the unbiased truth. When something happens we do not see the event, we see the event through the filter of our own experiences, ideals and beliefs. We have expectations about how the world should be and when our expectations are met or broken we experience pain or pleasure. We are either disappointed or pleasantly surprised. Right or wrong we take beliefs and make them our truths. We take conversations and turn people into heros or villains in our lives. We take habits and create who we are. We take dreams and turn them into depression because we are not there. We can take dreams and turn them into goals. The filter in which you apply to the world and yourself will change how you see yourself and the world.

Blog #202 – How to live with metaphors

What metaphor you use for life with change how you see the world.

    Life is a BITCH!

    Life is like a dance.

    Life is art.

    Life is a war.

Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.

Each one of these metaphors will give your life a different meaning and cause you to take different actions. Whatever you think life is you will play into the story that you have given your life. The mind will make you right. If you say life is a blessing then you will act like it and be grateful for every moment you are alive.

Use metaphors to your advantage to make your life more exciting, playful and meaningful.

  • Blog #78 – Your REALITY is WRONG

Imagine the whole world as if you were looking at it from outer space. Out of the entire globe how much have you actually seen? Maybe 1% of the entire world you have seen. This is the same for every situation that your are in. You do not see the whole picture. You only see a small piece of the world and we think we know everything. Our senses can only take in a limited amount of information and out of that limited information our brain filters what it thinks is important and discards the rest of the information. Everyone has a different filter and bias based on their own experiences. Everyone focuses on different things and discards different things. Everyone is different but who is right?
