With new years right around the corner now is the time to look back at the current year. It may have went exactly as you planned it or maybe you didn’t have a plan and the year got away from you. In either situation time to learn from the current year and apply it to the new year. Leave all your doubts and fears behind. Attack this new year with new energy and strength. Believe in yourself and shoot for the moon. Believe you can accomplish your dreams. Believe the universe is working in your favor and will help you along the way. Believe you are your own hero.

The journey always starts with a hero. They are not a hero at the start but just an ordinary person in ordinary situations doing ordinary things. The hero is living an ordinary life when a call to adventure happens. It is usually something tragic that happens and the hero has a choice to make. Go on this adventure of self discovery and save their ordinary life. The hero chooses to go on this journey where they are faced with many adversities and challenges. The hero overcomes all of them except one. They are struck down on their pursuit to overcome. To overcome this last obstacle the hero must face their darkest challenges. They must do everything they don’t want to do. Only then does the hero conquer the final beast. When the challenges are over the hero is a new person when they go home to their ordinary life.

Blog #31 – My Hero’s Journey
The Hero’s Journey is a analysis of all the stories ever told by Joseph Campbell. In these most famous stories there are characteristics that they all share.
All of the stories are focused around one hero. This hero is living in his/her everyday life when all of a sudden there is a divine call to action. This call to action challenges the hero to leave behind everything they are comfortable with and go on a journey to the scary unknown. Once on this path there are many obstacles, enemies, fears and self doubt that must be conquered. Then after the quest the hero returns home a new person and shares the experience, wealth and knowledge gained from the trails and tribulations.
This is the basic format to all good stories.
You are the hero. Accept the call to action. Conquer the villians. Come home and share the wealth.
