Blog #220 – How to Make it look easy

Everyone who has done something you admire has more than likely worked their tail off to achieve it. In sports there is a concept of “Natural Talent”. This means that they are naturally gifted and they don’t have to work as hard as most people. It is true that if you are 7′ then you have a greater chance to be in the NBA but what about 5′ 3″ Mogsey Bouges. What if you are not good enough to make your High School basketball team. Would you let this stop you from being the best basketball player of all time like Michael Jordan became.

The trick to making it look easy is to make it easy. Keep practicing and practicing and practicing until your body and mind have gone through every scenario.

The real challenge is not winning and losing, it is going out there and giving it your all. Live up to your infinite potential. Do not give your power away by making excuses or blaming other things.

    Be true to yourself.

    Make each day your masterpiece.

    Help others.

    Drink deeply from good books.

    Make friendship a fine art.

Build a shelter against a rainy day.

Pray for guidance and give thanks for your blessings every day.

Blog #183 – Sit down be HUMBLE

Practice humility like you practice any other skill. Being humble keeps you from slipping. As soon as you think you do not need to do the things that got you where you are is when you start loosing and making mistakes. Being humble allows you to take criticism because you know who you are and you can make fun of yourself.

Be humble enough to know that there is still more to learn. You are not at the end. You are still growing every single day. The world is your teacher and you are its student. Always be open and receptive to listen to what the world is trying to tell you.

If you are real about what you want and are humble enough you will find things in unexpected places. You are not above anything.

Be humble because there is always someone better than you. Learn from the competition, find mentors, read books, and practice everyday to get better.

Put in the time to get better every single day.

  • Blog #120 – Life on Repeat

I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

    Bruce Lee

The more you repeat something the more confident you will be in the end result. The more you repeat something the more you will make it your own. Your personality will start to come out and eventually it will be uniquely yours. You will create versions that will only be linked to you. Your influences are uniquely your own and it will create your unique style. The hard part is to repeat and repeat and repeat the same process without giving up. It feels like it’s the same thing over and over again but if you compare two versions closely there are slight variations that make each unique. You will find out what you like and what you don’t like only through trail and error. Once you find ways you like you keep doing that and improve upon it. Keep grinding!
