If your always waiting for something big to happen then there will be longs periods of time without happiness. Stop waiting for your next promotion, your next big life event, the next holiday, the next weekend.

There are small things that happen everyday you can be grateful for. It could be your morning coffee, a TV show, a joke someone makes, a compliment from a stranger. When you can have as much joy in something small like this as something large then you are doing something right.

noiz viol8ion blog #803 – Pay Through Sacrifice

Even though you may know what you want it doesn’t come easy. You must pay the price. If you want a new computer you must know how much it cost then you must have the money to pay for it. If you don’t have the money then how are you going to get it. Maybe you have to pick up an extra shift or maybe you need a part time job.

If you want to play an instrument then you have to practice. Pick a time to devote to practice. Not everything is paid in money. Sometimes you have to pay in your time or favors.

Everything has a price. Sometimes the prices are hidden and sometimes the price is really high. Just know the cost because there is no way around it.

    noiz viol8ion blog #583 – Why I Write

I write for many reason. I want to be successful in my life. I want to have nice things like houses, cars, clothes and most importantly to help other. The more successful I become the more the more I will be able to help myself and others around me. Writing inspires me to read about successful people and ideas. It increases my curiosity and helps me learn how to be a better communicator. I am bettering my mindset by filling my mind with brilliant ideas. I have research tons about mindset and how to cultivate it.

I have learned from the greats like Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins, Brenden Buchard, Tim Ferris, Lewis Howes, Tai Lopez, Gary Vaynerchuck, Gary Keller, Brene Borwn, Napolean Hill, Mike Monday, Grant Cardone, Seth Godi, Stephan Pressfield, Allen Watts, Eckert Tolle, Maxwell Maltz, Donald Trump, Guy Kiwosaki, Joseph Cambell, John Wooden, Tim Grover, Simon Sinek, Carol Dweek, Charles Gardinier. These people have made a huge impact in my life and one of the main themes that I saw in all of them is a philosophy of practice.

    noiz viol8ion blog #526 – Embrace Failure

To embrace failure is not to make failure feel better. Failure feels terrible and it should feel terrible. To embrace failure is to feel this terrible feeling. To soak this feeling in and do whatever it take to not feel it again. To use failure as a learning opportunity. When failure happens the important thing is to reflect on the failure and be curious as to why it happened and how you can avoid it next time.

Failure can be a motivator because it is so painful. The pain should not stop you from taking action the pain should motivate you to be more prepared. Failure can not be avoided but can be mitigated. The mitigation is your preparedness. How much did you practice? How much did you learn? How much effort did you put in?

noiz viol8ion blog #471 – Raise The Stakes

When the stakes are raised there is more on the line. There is more to gain and more to loose. Knowing this you are forced to step up your game and become better.

A good analogy is skiing when you stick to the easy slopes then you will always be a beginner. As soon as you jump up to a more difficult slope you have to become better because it is more dangerous.

You will fail but as long as you get back up and keep going the more difficult path will become the new normal.

Whichever game you are playing, you have the power to play at the any level you want. If you want to be an amateur or a professional it is up to you and your commitment. There are things you can control and things you can’t. To increase performance and get better you have to do the thing you want to be good at.

Want to be happy then practice happy.

Want to be loved then practice love.

Blog #263 – Visualize the Perfect Shot

Ben Hogan said that before he hit the golf ball he would visualize a perfect shot. He would visualize exactly where he wants the ball to go and with perfect form.

Visualizing builds up muscle memory even though your not going through the motions. Your body and brain acts as if its a real memory.

The more you practice this mental visualization the more it becomes real.

If you can dream it then you can do it.

    Perfect practice makes perfect.

Blog #255 – Is this scarier than Dying?

Many people claim their biggest fear is public speaking. WHY?

You will not die if you give a bad speech. There is no danger to your physical well being.

The reason people are scared is because they are scared of what people will think about them. They think they will be judged and be disliked.

You will not be good at public speaking or anything else the first time you do it. That is why you must practice doing the things your scared of.

Practice eliminates fear. Dedication eliminates fear. Passion and gratitude eliminate fear. Seeing things as opportunities to grow eliminates fear.
