    There is my passion I pursue everyday and there is my work I get paid for. It is my goal to combine my passion and work. I can do this by adding more passion to my work or by adding more work to my passion. Anyone can do the former but the later is much more challenging. The first is a change in your attitude. This can be done by finding things you enjoy about your current work. What can you accentuate, get better at, and enjoy? Where can you place your focus to find more joy?

    When adding more work to your passion you are adding things that you don’t like. This means learning more skills that are not your passion. Skills like making money, marketing, management, accounting, and other business skills. The better you are at business the more you can turn your passion into work.

    Either way you have to know your worth, know where you want to be, learn and grow.

    Growth is painful. Growth is not found from the couch or sipping a cocktail. Growth is getting out of your comfort zone. Growth is becoming the person you want to become. Growth is dedicated practice at something. In the moment this growth can be painful but also the most rewarding thing that life has to offer. The moment you do something you’ve never done is the moment you feel like a super hero. You can do the impossible and you are a better person than you were before. This growth is like a drug where you want more and more of it. The feeling gets addicting and energy flows through your body like a rush. Enjoy this growth because you have earned it. Not everyone experiences this feeling because they don’t work as hard as you do.

    Nobody cares how you feel and nobody can tell how you feel. As long as you get the work done then that is all you need to do. You are on this earth to make a contribution and to serve other people. To be the best server you have to be in your best state of mind. It is like the airline telling you to put your own mask on first before helping others. If you are not in the right state then you could be poisoning your friends and family without knowing it. Nobody can see your inside but they can see your work. Let your work speak for itself and be willing to put it out into the world. Do what you love and share it. Take how you feel out of the equation and just get the work done.

    Avoid the dichotomy of doing what you hate so you can do what you love in your free time. This does not make any sense to stay in a job you do not like so you can have a weekend off or take 1 vacation a year. The only reason this makes sense is to sacrifice a few years if the money is fantastic. The problem is then people do not know how to get there money right and develop a plan to transition into another career. Their lifestyle increases to the amount of money they are making and they can’t change without it being extremely painful. This causes people to get stuck because they don’t know any better and they are not working on any other skills than the ones currently paying the bills. They are caught on the hamster wheel with no way off.
