It is easy to get wrapped up in the past. Who I was, what I was doing, what relationships I had, my accomplishments and where I’ve been.
The past is easy to grasp because it is known. It is real and tangible. I can study and learn from it.
The future is more scary because I am completely vulnerable. I have to project who I want to be, who I want to be with and where I want to go. The future is unknown and not tangible. I can’t grasp it. It’s only a dream.
In reality the only thing real is the present. The present is the only thing you can control and truly the only thing you are able to grasp and take advantage of.
