  • Blog #111 – The World is Constant but You Are Not

The external world is what it is. The sun rises every morning and sets every night. The season are always the same. Summer is after Spring and before Fall which is followed by winter. There are 24 hours in a day, 7 days a week and 365 days in a year. This has been constant for as far back as humans have existed. Things are what they are and there is nothing you can do to change things or change people.

The only thing we can change is our own perception of how we see things. We can change the meaning we give things. We can change our attitude. We can change how we use our body. We can change what we focus on. Change any of these things and you will get different results out of life. Your outcomes will improve if you improve.

    The Serenity Prayer

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

Courage to change the things I can,

And wisdom to know the difference.

    Reinhold Niebuhr

  • Blog #110 – Only Real Recognize Real

Don’t do anything you do not believe in. Be the you that you want to become. Do not get caught up in the superficial lifestyles or worry about other people. The only thing you should focus on is becoming a better version of yourself. If you work hard and gain enough talent the you will not have to play any tricks or games. You will be coming from an authentic place and people will recognize that. The first step is being real with yourself and having self awareness. Don’t get caught up in other people’s games. Don’t be a people pleaser. If you give it your all and don’t hold back then you won’t have any regrets. The worst thing is to have regrets because you gave up all your time to someone or something that was not worth it. Only you know what is worth it.

  • Blog #109 – How to Achieve an Instant Breakthrough

Some breakthroughs are obvious and happen instantly and some you have to work a long time for. As long as you are searching for them then they will come. There is no limit on how many you can have and which area of your life that you can have them. Ask better questions and you will get better answers. Narrow the question to one topic and be as specific as possible. A better answer will lead to a breakthrough. Ask the right question to the right person to get the right answer. Write things down because if a problem or question comes up again then you already know the answer. Celebrate your breakthroughs and more will come.

  • Blog #108 – Uncharted Territory

To do or be something else than what you are today then you must do things that you’ve never done before. This means stepping outside of your comfort zone. You have to start being comfortable with being uncomfortable. Going into this new territory there will be fear and uncertainty. There are a lot of unknowns because it is all new for you. Depending on how you see the situation it can be fearful or it can be exciting. Your perception can cause you to step up to the plate or back down for fear. Once you step up and keep stepping up it becomes natural. You will gain confidence and the results will follow.

  • Blog #107 – Everyone Already Knows this works.

If you want anything then the one sure fire way to get it is through HARD WORK. You must be dedicated. This is a decision you make before you even start. You tell yourself that you are going to do whatever it takes to accomplish what you are trying to accomplish. You have to have something worth working hard for. You must be focused on the goal. You must have the vision of what you are going after. Why do you want it? What will happen if you don’t get it? What will happen if you do get it? The stronger you believe the results will come. The more action you will take to get it.

  • Blog #106 – Get that MONEY!!

It costs money to eat. People often say, “Money is the root of all evil.” This could be true in some cases but money in the right hands can do many good things. Money is a tool. Money is a resource. Money is used to exchange value in a common format. Money can relieve stresses that come along with life. It can allow you to be more generous and do things for other people. You can donate. You can take that dream vacation. You can buy goods that will make your life better. Money will not make you happy but what you do with it can increase the power and quality of your life. About half the world lives on less than $5.50 a day (1) so be grateful and be generous with what you have.

  • Blog #105 – Darkest Before Dawn

It is always the hardest before it gets easier. You are tested to see if you really want it. You are tested to see if you will keep going. You will want to give up. When you are struggling you must keep pushing forward. After you are stuck and feel like you’ve exhausted all your ideas and resources is when you get really resourceful. This is when you are most creative. When your back is against the wall and you must act is when you are at your most powerful. Don’t ever give up and use the pressure as fuel to do more.

  • Blog #104 – Body Health

Many things in this world can and are replaced. There are not many things that are irreplaceable. One of those things is your body. You only get one body so one of your goals should be to have a healthy body.

A healthy body is something where the reward is always worth the work. The more work you put in the bigger the reward will be. There is no way around diet and exercise because you eat everyday and unless your paralyzed you move your body everyday.

For diet, the only thing you have to do is improve and be conscious of whats going in your body. Your diet is your energy and fuel. Just like gasoline in a car you can put in supreme or regular.

The body can be a sports car, tow truck or a mini van depending on how you use it. Your body always steps up to how your challenging it. You will adapt. If you do weights then you will gain muscle. If you run then you will gain cardio. If you do yoga then you will feel good.

The more you put in the more you will get out and the rewards will come immediately.

  • Blog #103 – Everybody Get UP!

You are only as strong as your team.

Everyone must know their roles and responsibilities. Also, you must know everyone else’s roles and responsibilities. Knowing what the other members roles allows you to help them even more. The easier it is for other people the easier it will be for you. If you do not know everyone else’s roles just ask. Do not be scared to ask questions. There is no personal success or failure. If you fail then the whole team fails.

The goal is bigger than you so always do whats best for the team and project!

  • Blog #102 – Build as much Momentum as you can!

Once you start something keep with it everyday. The repetition is the best way to learn and grow. If you are not getting better then you are doing too much. Simplify the process until the repetition becomes boring and then simplify it some more. Take it all the way back to the basics and start as small as possible. A daily habit is the best way to build momentum! Write a blog, do a crossword, practice an instrument, a sport. Make sure the goal is attainable. Reward yourself for long streaks. Stay motivated and don’t quit. The wins are in the process!
