    noiz viol8ion blog #355 – Duality

    There are two sides to every coin. There are two parties in our political system. The world is not black and white but our minds like to think in absolute opposites. This is because it makes it easier to draw contrast between what is right and what is wrong. We draw contrast between who am I and who is everyone else. We want to identify with a group and separate ourselves from other groups. This is what we naturally do but if we learn to use both sides and grab good things from everything without pushing away what we may think is negative.

    You can make a lot of money and not be evil.

    You can thrive in the city and enjoy nature.

    You can be a loud extrovert and enjoy your quite time.

    There are many things that we think do not go together but we need a balance of both.

    There is always a give and take, a contraction and stretch, tension and release, ups and downs, happy and sad emotions, energetic and tired days, rich and poor people, beautiful and ugly, clean and dirty, dry and wet, right and wrong, war and peace, good and evil.

    These are all just words on a spectrum of opposites. People will go through the same experience but use different words to describe their experience. Find the words that explain your experiences and the experience you want to have. Know what will get you to where you want to go and know what will get you too where you don’t want to go. Each are just as valuable because we have to know where to go and where not to go.
