  • Blog #17 – Balance is Key to Everything

It is good to be patient and let your skills develop. Then you must not get comfortable being patient. You must balance the patience with impatience.

You must be extremely impatient and push yourself to make things happen.

There is a balance where you are pushing yourself but at the same time not so much that you get discouraged.

  • Blog #16 – Keep Your Head Down and Grind

Do not try to avoid the struggle. Embrace it!

Leaning into the struggle turns it into a game. You know what the opponent is so it is up to you to beat the opponent and win.

There will be many distractions that try to throw you off your game. These can be people close to you telling you to quit or that you are not good enough. The biggest hurdle is getting over yourself. You must truly know yourself and conquer the inner voice.

When you make yourself believe there is no stopping you.

No matter what it is you are trying to do it can be done.

The beginning is always the hardest part. Once you start then keep going and do not slow down.

  • Blog #15 – The Journey is More Important than the Destination

We are all artists creating our life’s masterpiece. We have projects that we work on and usually the main goal we have is COMPLETING tasks We have to-do lists and we want to cross things off our to-do lists. Our goal is to FINISH something. When this is the goal. When we put all of our focus on the end. We lose sight of the present.

We end up always being in a hurry. We end up being full of anxiety.

When we finish the goal often we are not happy because we did not enjoy the process.

I propose that once you know the outcome you want to achieve change the goal to the HOW.

HOW are you going to get there?

When you focus on the How the questions change. You are now asking, How can I be happy and accomplish this? How can I complete this and enjoy it? How can I incorporate the people I care about?

With this shift of focus you are bringing yourself into the present moment.

The end is not the most important thing but how you get to the end.

Do you have a target for what would be the perfect way to spend 24 hrs?

There are 7 times a week or 356 times a year you can try to achieve that perfect day.

We are creatures of habits so you are either getting closer to this day or further away from it.  The goal is not to have the perfect day once but to have the perfect day every single day.

Your day should be helping you get closer to your long term goals and your future perfect day.

String together perfect days and focus on your progress.

We all fall off but must get back on.

  • Blog #13 – Why so serious?

FunThings are not as big as I make them out to be.

The goal is to have more fun and not take everything so serious.

I have the best time when I am playing not when I am overthinking.  Tasks are more enjoyable and actually easier.  The output is better.

Do not be scared to look stupid.

The more you play the more you win!

  • Blog #12 – Repetition is the Key to Success

With repetition comes confidence. With repetition comes credibility. Repetition builds momentum.  With repetition something small compounds into something enormous. With repetition something amazing is built.

    Live everyday!

    Repeat the good things.

    Groundhog day

  • Blog #11 – Believe in yourself

Good things will happen when you believe in yourself.

When starting from nothing it’s hard to believe that anything will change.  We create an identity in our minds of who we believe we are.  We repeat this story over and over again.  The story is so ingrained in our minds.  Some of it may be true. Some of it may be exaggerated. Some of the story is a flat out lie.

    The story is not you.

Detach yourself from this false identity and replace your story with a more empowering one.

Do not let where you are now dictate where you want to be in the future.

Your vision is fueled by your belief in yourself to get it.

  • Blog #10 – I want to be successful!

I want to be successful at everything I do.  I want to be the best at everything. I do not want to lose. I want to be the smartest. I want to win. I want to prove to myself that I can do it.

When these things don’t happen I get frustrated.  I get down on myself. I get stuck in a rut.

When I am down, I know I need to believe more.  I need to have more patience.  I need to give more.  I need to help other people.  I need to be more grateful.

We must not get too high or too low.

  • Blog #9 – Progress over Perfection

    How do you measure yourself?

Put your focus on your progress not your perfection.

Since we are human that means we are not perfect. Therefore if we try to be perfect we will only get frustrated with ourselves.

If we see focus on progress then we appreciating how far we have come and will be looking for ways to get better.  Progress is measurable. Progress is possible! Progress is powerful! Progress is your growth! Progress is your happiness! Progress is never giving up!

Progress is short attainable goals.  If these goals are measurable then you will get feedback immediately.  This feed back will feed into your beliefs because your seeing positive results. This feedback will help you gain momentum.

  • Blog #8 – Happyness is not a mistake

happiness-2901750_1280.pngHappiness is doing things that you do not want to do.

The easiest thing to do is not usually the thing that will make you happy.

Happiness is knowing yourself and what makes you happy.

The world is working in your favor and the mind is not.  The mind is always playing tricks on us.  The brain we have was built thousands of years ago when humans were roaming the planes looking for food.  We are designed to see the worst case scenario so we can survive, so we can not get eaten by a lion or bear. Now we live in a different time with less predators.  Survival is always important but if we want to be happy you have to make that choice.

Make the choice to do what makes you the happiest not what is easiest!
