    noiz viol8ion blog #295 – The 40/70 Rule

Never stop learning but do not let learning keep you from taking action. There is a thing as information overload and if you wait til you have all the information you think you need then you will never stop consuming information. You will never take action. At some point you are going to have to make a decision. That decision will be right or wrong and then you will have to correct course.

He says that every time you face a tough decision you should have no less than forty
percent and no more than seventy percent of the information you need to make the decision. If you make a decision with less than forty percent of the information you need you are shooting from the hip and you will make too many mistakes

Everytime you face a tough decision you should have no less than forty percent and no more than seventy percent of the information you need to make the decision. If you make a decision with less than fort percent of the information you nee you are shooting from the him and will make too many mistakes. If you have more than 70 percent of the information the opportunity is usually passed.

noiz viol8ion Blog #287 – The Scaries of Learning and Growth

When learning you must confront your weaknesses and not knowing something. You may be a complete beginner or already knowledgeable but you also have to be humble that you do not know everything. There is a level of vulnerability one must have to admit they do not know it all. This vulnerability can be scary but getting comfortable with it will open up huge opportunities for learning and growth.

Blog #227 – What you don’t know can hurt you!

You must be the master or you must hire a master.

No matter what you are doing if you want it done right you need someone who knows what they are doing. Do not rely on luck or chance.

The easiest way to get the results you want is to take a model or system that has got that result before.

Save time and money by doing it right the first time.

Ask for help if you are not the master or its something you have no interest in learning.

Early mistakes can lead to huge problems down the road.

Blog #175 – Why you must live by Tony Robbins’ principle of CANI!

You must commit to a life of CANI!

CANI stands for Constant And Never-ending Improvement.

If you live by this principle then every aspect of your life can be affected.

Things in you life are either growing or they are dying. It is up to you on what you want to grow and what you want to die.

If you commit to CANI then the good things will keep getting better.

  • Blog #169 – THINK BIG AND EXECUTE!

    Stop thinking small.

Have great ideas that will change the world and have the determination to execute no matter what. Find a way to get it done.

Lose your ego and do not pigeon hole yourself by placing labels on yourself.

Do not have a fixed mindset about who you are.

Have a growth mindset about who you can become.

Be in a constant state of learning and improving.

See every challenge as a learning opportunity.

Do not let your current state stop you from starting something new.

Your ideas are too small. Think bigger. Dream bigger. Have ideas so big that they scare you.

  • Blog #164 – 4 Stages of Learning

When we are learning something new there are 4 stages we must go through.

Stage 1 – Unconscious Incompetence – This stage means that you are completely oblivious to everything. You do not know what you do not know.

Stage 2 – Conscious Incompetence – This stage brings in self awareness. Now you know what the skill or topic is that you want to learn. You also know that you know nothing.

Stage 3 – Conscious Competence – This next stage happens after spending time practicing and studying. You now know the ins and outs but you have to spend time thinking about it.

Stage 4 – Unconscious Competence – This is the last stage of learning. This is complete mastery of a subject. You know how to do something so well that it is second nature. It takes no extra effort and you can “do it while you sleep.” Imagine being Kobe playing basketball.

  • Blog #163 – Be PERSISTENT as a baby

If you wish to do anything that hasn’t been done then you need PERSISTANCE.

PERSISTANCE can look like stubborness or hard headedness.

Everyone has persistence for achieving something they really want. A great example of this is when we were babies. When we were born we didn’t know how to walk or talk. It is second nature now for most people but it was not always this way. At one point you could not do either one of these skills. You went through the struggles of learning these things. You demonstrated persistence with the encouragement of your parents or teachers.

Know that you have learned and grown before. Know that you have it in you to do amazing things that you have never done before.

  • Blog #135 – Stay Motivated!

Do whatever it takes to stay hungry and motivated. This is a tricky art and will require sacrifices. You will have to give up something, whether it be family, money, time, friends, or success. If you want to party every weekend you will have to give up time and money. If you want to be good at a skill then you will have to sacrifice friends and partying.

Motivation can come about in different ways. The people you work with can motivate you to do a better job. They can be entertaining and you enjoy coming into work everyday.

Competition can be motivating. You want to be better than the competition so you work hard and find ways to differentiate yourself.

Significance can be motivating. You want to be the best so you feel important so you find ways to stand out and deliver the best quality you can.

Learning and growth can be motivating. You want to be better than you are now so you do the work to make yourself better.

Love can be motivating. Love is driving you to be better to take care of yourself and your loved ones. It can never get old if you love what you do.

  • Blog #69 – STAY CURIOUS

If you are having problems focusing then you are probably not interested in what you are doing. If you are curious in what you are doing then you will automatically be drawn to it. You will want to find out more information and dive deeper into what you are working on.

Being curious is a gift of endless energy. You will naturally be inquisitive and ask questions. You will want more information and all of this will make you better.

As long as your curious the learning will never stop. You will go down many rabbit holes that ordinary people wouldn’t go down. You will try many different experiments just to see what happens. There is no failure on experiments and feedback.
