One of the hardest things to do for me is to sit in silence. As soon as it gets silent I am looking for the easiest distraction. My distraction of choice lately has been my phone. Growing up it used to be video games, cartoons and playing sports. Maybe this is why I was never a fan of school because we were told to sit there and be quiet. I needed something to keep be engaged and learning about proper grammar was not it. That is why it is ironic that I find myself a blogger. When it comes to writing the blogs I look for distractions to get me out of it. I come up with excuses why I shouldn’t do it. I am not good enough. What if someone judges me. There are endless reasons why I shouldn’t do it but only one reason why I should. I want to.

You should interview Katie Steadman on her new school. She won’t be telling her students to sit and be quiet. It would be a great follow up to this post – a new learning model!
