Blog #253 – What is Your Primary Question?

Everyone has one question they ask constantly.

What this question is will direct what you focus on and the decision you make.

Do you know your primary question?

One of Tony Robbins primary questions is, “How can I enjoy how perfect things are and make them better valiantly and more enjoyable for everybody?” This question presupposes everything is already perfect (which it is!)

Everything is exactly as it should be and it is your job to make sense out of the chaos, to find joy and happiness in the world.

Blog #247 – Be in the driver seat of your emotions.

We often hear that emotions are like a roller coaster and we are just along for the ride.

I would say that emotions are more like driving a car. You do not have control of the road but you have control over the car. You are able to steer and avoid potholes or you are also available to put the car on autopilot like the rollercoaster.

Once you take control and responsibility of yourself. You are free to travel on your favorite roads and avoid your least favorite.

If you see a fork in the road choose the path to happiness.

Blog #232 – The Art of Finishing

Everything has a beginning, middle, and end.

Bring awareness and note if you are at the beginning of the end. Or in the case of the market it looks like we are at the beginning of a recession. If we are at the beginning then what does the middle and end look like.

The way you see something will also affect your actions. If you treat a relationship like its the beginning always then you will still do the things that attracted the other person to you in the first place.

The ending is a work of art. Finish the way you start and know when something is finished. If you know your job is finished then go out with a bang.

  • Blog #194 – Eliminate to Expand

Blog #194 – Eliminate to Expand

Eliminate the unnecessary tasks in your life.

Remember the Pareto Principle. The Pareto Principle state that 80% of the results come from 20% of your actions.

Focus on the 20% of actions that get you this giant number of results. What are the things you are doing that is really moving the needle? This is where you should be focusing more of your time.

Learn to work harder on yourself than you do on your job. If you work hard on your job you can make a living, but if you work hard on yourself you’ll make a fortune.

    Jim Rohn

Do the 20% of actions that make you the happiest. Do the 20% of actions that make you the wealthiest. Do the 20% of actions that make you the healthiest. Do the 20% of actions that bring the most love. Then you have 20% left over to do what ever you want.

  • Blog #187 – Integrate your Lifestyle

Blog #187 – Integrate your Lifestyle

To have the life you want you must integrate your lifestyle with all the things that you want out of life.

Your lifestyle must support your growth in all areas of life you want to grow in. You also must eliminate the things you are doing that does not support your growth.

If you work in an office and know you can’t leave the office then how can you integrate things in the environment you are in? For example to integrate health in an office environment you can sit on a pilates ball, take breaks, go for walks and eat a healthy lunch.

An integrated lifestyle is a balanced lifestyle where all actions support other actions. There is a give and take but all actions should give. To know what to do you need to know what is important to you.

The opposite of an integrated lifestyle is a compartmentalized lifestyle. This is where nothing is related and everything is independent.

  • Blog #170 – High Standards need to be raised HIGHER

Blog #170 – High Standards need to be raised HIGHER

Your standards are the things you must do and are uncompromisable. Your standards are the pillars of quality that you live by and what you base your decisions on. Your standards are health related. What are you going to eat? are you going to workout? You have standards in relationships. Who are you going to hang out with? How do you treat people? You have standards in finances. What is the minimum I’m going to get paid? You have standards for your happiness. Are you going take time for yourself and do what makes you happy?

To have a change in your life you have to raise your standards for what is the minimum acceptable. When you raise your standards you will see everything around you improve. Your health will get better. You will feel better and make better decisions. Your wealth will get better. You will get paid more for doing what you love. Your relationships will get better. You will have real people in your life that will be there for you. Your happiness will increase. You will take more time for yourself and do more things that make you happy.

  • Blog #149 – Road Map to Happiness

You must commit to live your life in a beautiful state and you must reinforce this commitment constantly. You will be tested throughout life so you must remind yourself what you want. Your mind is not designed to make you happy. It is design to make you survive. Your quality of life and your happiness is your responsibility. Once you have your survival needs figured (food, water, air, shelter) out then you can work on your happiness. Know and write down what will make you happy otherwise we will always be chasing the newest things we see on TV or advertisements. Have a road map to happiness.

  • Blog #125 – Feeling Down? Remember This

Do not be discouraged by anything. You are in control of you and what you do. You have the power. Do not fall into the the trap of a negative state and if you do have ways to get yourself out of it.

Your body and mind are connected as one. Make sure your body language and posture are confident. This links to the brain and will increase your confident state.

If you are not feeling great then fake a smile. Faking a smile can have the same side effects as the real thing. The way you feel is changeable. Work backward and remember a time you felt great. Where were you? Who were you with? What were you doing? Enhance this memory and gain that feeling all over again. Just remembering this moment will bring back that feeling. Learn to master this recall and you will be able to control how you feel.
