    Blog #243 – Dopamine Kicks

Your brain is designed to be easily distracted. The first humans needed to be aware of a rustle in the bushes because it might be a tiger jumping out to eat them.

This means when we are focused on our work any text, email, call can distract us from the task at hand. With smartphones and computers in front of us we know where to get little hits of dopamine. Once we hit a road block on the work at hand we have our patterns and outs to run to.

The distractions are endless and if you do not focus and work on your focus then you will not accomplish anything.

You must be able to sit with the uncomfort and solve your problems.

Stop looking at social media and wishing you had what they have.

Be grateful for your own life and take advantage of the opportunities in front of you.

  • Blog #132 – Stay Clear of This

It is important to notice when you are distracted and go back to focusing on what matters most. People will veer you off course. People will bring you down. This might not be on purpose but no one wants to see you suceed as much as you do. You have to take care of all your own business first. You must do what needs to be done.

You must simply be. Be the superhero of your own movie. Be a person of action. Be the person that gets things done. Be the person you want to be. Stay focused by being you and staying true in what you believe in. Know your end goal.

Write down your own story and live it. Once you have a blueprint put it into action and live the life of your dreams.

  • Blog #99 – SELF CONTROL

Life has so many temptations and distractions to keep you from being productive. Everything wants your attention. Apps want you on them. Notifications on ding on your phone. People call in the middle of things. We feel obligating to answer and respond to all this craziness and it takes away from the moment. It take time to get back on track and pick up where you left off. Limit the distractions by turning your phone on silent. Don’t check email all day. Block out time to stay focused.
