Your standards are the things you must do and are uncompromisable. Your standards are the pillars of quality that you live by and what you base your decisions on. Your standards are health related. What are you going to eat? are you going to workout? You have standards in relationships. Who are you going to hang out with? How do you treat people? You have standards in finances. What is the minimum I’m going to get paid? You have standards for your happiness. Are you going take time for yourself and do what makes you happy?

To have a change in your life you have to raise your standards for what is the minimum acceptable. When you raise your standards you will see everything around you improve. Your health will get better. You will feel better and make better decisions. Your wealth will get better. You will get paid more for doing what you love. Your relationships will get better. You will have real people in your life that will be there for you. Your happiness will increase. You will take more time for yourself and do more things that make you happy.

    Stop thinking small.

Have great ideas that will change the world and have the determination to execute no matter what. Find a way to get it done.

Lose your ego and do not pigeon hole yourself by placing labels on yourself.

Do not have a fixed mindset about who you are.

Have a growth mindset about who you can become.

Be in a constant state of learning and improving.

See every challenge as a learning opportunity.

Do not let your current state stop you from starting something new.

Your ideas are too small. Think bigger. Dream bigger. Have ideas so big that they scare you.

  • Blog #168 – Make each day your MASTERPIECE

Blog #168 – Make each day your MASTERPIECE

Everyday you start out with a blank canvas of 24 hours. You can paint stick figures or you can pain the Sistine Chapel. What you do is up to you. It does not matter what you skill level is. The only thing that matters is your vision and determination. How much effort are you willing to put in? If you put in stick figure effort you will get stick figure rewards. Are you truly putting your all into what you are doing or are you just trying to get things done?

If you put in life change, bigger yourself, Sistine Chapel effort you will get a greater reward. The reward will not just be monetary but also spiritually. You will be proud of yourself on many different levels.

The reward is not directly proportional to the amount of effort you give. The reward is in proportion to the amount of value you give.

Everyone has the same 24 hrs in a day. No one has more hours in a day than you. The difference is how people use those hours.

What is your intention for today?

How are you going to be better today than you were yesterday?

Feed you mind new inspirations and information. Remove the old information that does not serve you.

    7 Things to Do:

    1. Be true to yourself.
    2. Help others.
    3. Make each day your masterpiece.
    4. Drink deeply from good books, especially the Bible.
    5. Make friendship a fine art.
    6. Build a shelter against a rainy day.
    7. Pray for guidance and count and give thanks for your blessings every day.

  • Blog #167 – Mount Rushmore of Influences

Know who you want to be by the people you look up to. Have a Mount Rushmore of people you admire. These people poses qualities that you wish to obtain. For example if Abraham Lincoln is on your Mount Rushmore of Influences then what about Lincoln do you admire? If it is his honesty then channel Honest Abe when you are in a situation that is hard to tell the truth. What would Abraham Lincoln do? Asking this question gets us out of our own head and makes us think from a different perspective.

Think and write down 5 people who would be in your Mt. Rushmore. Use these influential people when you get stuck and need more inspiration. Learn and steal from them. Do what they would do. You are the Frankenstein of these influences.

  • Blog #166 – Train you MIND

Your quality of life depends on your mind. How you think, How you make decisions, How you react, how you solve problems.

Your mindset puts a filter on everything you see, hear and feel. It can be cold and grey or bright and warm.

You have the power to choose and create the life of your dreams. You must free your mind from the limiting beliefs that constrain yourself, whether it be fear, greed, jealousy, hatred, revenge, or superstition. Replace these with empowering beliefs like faith, courage, strength, love, enthusiasm, joy, beauty, calm, romance, and hope. Your mind makes better decisions in these positive states. Operating from these consistently you will have a naturally better quality of life.

You must figure out how to flood your mind with these positive emotions. Figure out how to make these your natural states. Train your mind to return to these states.

  • Blog #165 – Benefits of a Mastermind Group

Surround yourself with a Mastermind Group.

A mastermind alliance involves two or more people who work in perfect harmony for the attainment of a definite purpose.

“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”

    Jim Rohn

Your mastermind group will spark new ideas, unleash creativity, drive you to work hard. You are reinforcing what is good in each other. You are covering up the weaknesses in others. You are a compliment towards each other. Your minds are like batteries the more you connect the power you will produce.

  • Blog #164 – 4 Stages of Learning

When we are learning something new there are 4 stages we must go through.

Stage 1 – Unconscious Incompetence – This stage means that you are completely oblivious to everything. You do not know what you do not know.

Stage 2 – Conscious Incompetence – This stage brings in self awareness. Now you know what the skill or topic is that you want to learn. You also know that you know nothing.

Stage 3 – Conscious Competence – This next stage happens after spending time practicing and studying. You now know the ins and outs but you have to spend time thinking about it.

Stage 4 – Unconscious Competence – This is the last stage of learning. This is complete mastery of a subject. You know how to do something so well that it is second nature. It takes no extra effort and you can “do it while you sleep.” Imagine being Kobe playing basketball.

  • Blog #163 – Be PERSISTENT as a baby

If you wish to do anything that hasn’t been done then you need PERSISTANCE.

PERSISTANCE can look like stubborness or hard headedness.

Everyone has persistence for achieving something they really want. A great example of this is when we were babies. When we were born we didn’t know how to walk or talk. It is second nature now for most people but it was not always this way. At one point you could not do either one of these skills. You went through the struggles of learning these things. You demonstrated persistence with the encouragement of your parents or teachers.

Know that you have learned and grown before. Know that you have it in you to do amazing things that you have never done before.

You decide to turn down the offer and keep trying until you get what you really want.

Make your decisions so you have nothing to regret later.

    Make OUTSTANDING decisions!
